Private professional theater was found in 1992 by Bogdan Michalewski (an actor, 1984 Wroclaw PWST graduate and director) and Mark Oliwa (director 1984 Cracow PWST graduate). Theater uprising was a respond to loss of people interest to the theatrical art. Since that time they have been trying to persuade people everywhere, even on the street. Theater on the street open - air performances, which are inspired by silent films and talking about contemporary world are very popular.
